The Revd Dr Mike Long is the Superintendent Minister at Notting Hill Methodist church which became a community response centre in the aftermath of the fire at Grenfell Tower.
Mike was ordained in 1992, and has spent almost 30 years in appointments in London, Surrey and North Wales, before moving to Notting Hill two years ago. Before training as a minister Mike worked briefly in the voluntary sector with the homeless. He then studied Theology & Politics, and postgraduate work focused on poverty, community engagement, and international debt. He’s a member of the Methodist Church’s Faith and Order Committee, which advises on theological and doctrinal matters and chaired SHELTER’s Commission on the future of social housing.
The lecture is at St Mary the Virgin Mortlake.
