St Mary’s, Mortlake Community Association and Mortlake Hall are concerned about the impact of rising energy bills on our community in Mortlake once winter sets in. Working together, we are setting up a Warm Soup Club offering people an opportunity to come to a heated space, share a mug of soup and bread and have a chat with others. There will be books, board games, jigsaws to enjoy.
The Warm Soup Club will be every Wednesday and Thursday, 12noon – 3.00pm at Mortlake Hall. Everyone is welcome, come for as long or short a time as you like. The Club will open on Wednesday 16 November.
We would also welcome help with cooking soup, setting up and generally offering hospitality.
We do need assistance to help fund this initiative and similar projects over the winter. If you would like to support us, please click here. Your donation will go towards the costs of extra heating, soup, bread and hot drinks as well as a contribution to staffing costs.
