Ann has been Parish Rector since May 2010. She served previously in parishes in Sanderstead and in Norbury and Thornton Heath. Prior to ordination she was litigation partner in a firm of solicitors in Bromley. Ann trained for ordination at Ridley Hall Cambridge and studied for a doctorate on the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer at Peterhouse. She is particularly interested in the relationship between theology and the arts. In her spare time Ann enjoys travel, snorkelling and nature photography. She runs regularly in Richmond Park and along the towpath and can usually be found doing Richmond Park Run.
Matthew was ordained Deacon in June 2022 and subsequently licensed as the Parish Curate. He was born in Wiltshire and grew up in North Yorkshire, where he was a chorister at Ripon Cathedral. Music has always played a large part in his life, leading to a pre-ordination career as a freelance and Army musician playing tuba, trombone, euphonium, and also singing. Other interests include fiction, food, theatre, board games, rugby, and being a slightly reluctant runner.
